A joint initiative between the West Virginia Coal Association and the West Virginia Coal Mining Institute housed in the West Virginia University Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, created the West Virginia Coal Hall of Fame – an esteemed selection of distinguished members that have dedicated their careers to not only preserving and improving West Virginia’s landscape, but also providing expert leadership in mining to Statler College faculty and students.
For difficult challenges today, the young minds being taught at WVU forge the path to create ingenuity in the industry through networking, resources, tools and solid foundation provided by the Coal Hall of Fame members.
