Frank Calandra, Jr. is the co-owner of FCI, president and CEO of all U.S. Jennmar subsidiaries, J-LOK Corp., JM Steel, J-LOK Co.; vice president of FCI and Marjenn Trucking and chairman of the Board of Directors of Jennmar Australia, Jennmar China, and The Calandra Group. Calandra joined the FCI Group in 1965 and served as its chief financial officer until 1979. He has been president and chief executive officer of Jennmar since its inception in 1968, managed its sales and engineering functions until 1980 and was responsible for all steel purchasing until 1981. Calandra is currently a board member of the National Mining Association and served on various committees concerning manufacturers' specifications and policies. Calandra is also a board member of the National Coal Council, CEED and a member of the Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Virginia Coal Associations, as well as a member for forty years of the SME - Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration. Additionally, he is on the Board of Directors for America's Power and the National Association for Manufacturers. Prior to joining FCI, Calandra was a senior accountant for Ernst and Ernst in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from 1960 to 1963 where he worked on the accounts of several major coal and steel companies. From 1963 to 1965, while with Main and LaFrentz in Los Angeles, California, Calandra worked with major construction companies, metal mines, and mortgage service companies. With over fifty years in the mining industry, he has received at least 20 patents in relation to ground control products and has built 17 plants worldwide.
